The BridgeFab team has been working hard on an exciting new project.
At BridgeFab, we are lucky enough to have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects. One of the latest with which we are involved is a new viewing platform that is being built at Tobruk Memorial in Toowoomba. The platform is set to be one of the area’s best new sights and we can’t wait for Queensland locals and visitors to enjoy it. Read on to find out more about the beautiful design and how we are involved in the project…
Where is the new platform?
The new viewing platform is located at Tobruk Memorial in Toowoomba. Tobruk Memorial Drive is part of the heritage-listed Picnic Point Parklands, which is situated on the edge of the Great Dividing Range. The platform is set amongst the trees and offers beautiful views over the surrounding area. Toowoomba is known, of course, for its picturesque escarpments, and the platform is a great addition to the region, offering locals and visitors the chance to enjoy the natural scenery, including views of Table Top Mountain. The platform is a short drive from Picnic Point, a popular spot that overlooks Main Range and Lockyer Valley, so if you’re in the mood for a day trip and a scenic drive, the area is ideal and offers plenty of opportunities for panoramic views. The platform itself will include connecting paths surrounded by soft landscaping, while the surrounding area will boast footpaths and street furniture for additional lookout opportunities. The platform forms part of a council initiative to guide further development across designated areas, and offers a wonderful opportunity for the community to enjoy the natural bushland and striking landscape.
How has our team been involved?
While working on the new viewing platform, our team has helped with riggers and dual lifts, as well as precision fabrication. We are proud of the fact that we use only local steel on our projects, and the new viewing platform in Toowoomba is no different — we have used top quality local steel for each element of the platform’s construction. In fact, this project was designed, made and erected entirely by Queenslanders for Queensland and we are passionate about supporting local communities when it comes to jobs and materials.
