We fabricate and erect structural steel

Structural steel is our area of expertise, and as the material is so widely used in the construction of buildings, it is likely that you will need to consider it as part of your unit development project. We specialise in medium sized structural steel projects, but often customise our services to suit our clients’ individual needs, so we encourage you to let us know what it is you are looking for.

At BridgeFab, we use a combination of 3D scanning and drafting technology to plan entire projects before we even touch a piece of steel. This saves our clients considerable time and money because we can accurately map out a project before any materials are fabricated. Once we have mapped out your project, we will provide you with a digital copy of what your project will look like, so you can make any changes before the work begins.

When it comes to fabricating the structural steel, we provide all the necessary services, including cutting, bending and assembling. In fact, we can collaborate with you on your project from start to finish, because we are able to cover all the relevant steps, from sourcing the steel, to fabricating and finally erecting it. We can even carry out your small metal work for you if you need us to.

We follow a seven-step program

When we work on a project, we work through a seven-step program, so you will know exactly what to expect throughout the process. First, our project manager will meet you to ensure that the team understands your timetable. We will also use this preliminary meeting as an opportunity to discuss any potential issues that could arise and any concerns there might be regarding your unit development project.

When you meet with our project manager, we will also perform a design review to ensure that all the necessary information is clear to all parties concerned. We find that this a very helpful process when it comes to filling in any gaps and facilitating open communication. Consultants and builders might be called in to discuss the unique features of your project at this time.

Next, we’ll begin the drafting process in which a 3D model of your project will be created. Any issues will be questioned in an RFI process before drawings are submitted for approval. Once you have signed off on the drawings, we can begin on the actual installation of your unit.

Once the job has been completed, we will do a final inspection and handover. Importantly, we will provide you with a warranty for workmanship valid for twelve months following the completion of your unit development.
